MANUFACTURING FACILITY POSITIONS

PRODUCTION SCHEDULER

Full-Time Position – Webster, NY

Salary Range: $25-32/hr

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

    • Review all new orders within 2 hours of entry and verify accuracy
    • Frequently check email and respond to inquiries
    • Collaborate with Inventory Manager and Buyer to ensure accurate inventory of items required to fulfill the order
    • Produce routers, bill of materials, and other required paperwork; deliver to Production floor
    • Enter any weld work into the Excel Weld Calendar, ERP, and other applicable systems
    • Finalize a ship date(s) for each order.
    • Notify Sales of any changes or impact to customers
    • Provide lead times and address expediting requests
    • Coordinate between Sales, Production, Purchasing and Shipping
    • Compare projected cycle times with the actual cycle times and adjust in scheduling system
    • Maintain data integrity within the system with up to date and accurate records
    • Attend daily Production Meetings

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in manufacturing, engineering, or production process
    • Advanced experience with ERP systems
    • Ability to communicate effectively and clearly with team members
    • Possess a customer-first mindset
    • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite
    • Keen attention to detail
    • Must be at least 18 years of age
    • Must have reliable transportation
    • Must have authorization to work in the United States
    • Must have the ability to read/write and understand both verbal and written work instructions

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

    • Able to wear required PPE; ear plugs, safety glasses and steel toed boots when on production floor

STRUCTURAL STEEL MIG WELDER

Full-Time Position – Webster, NY

Salary Range: $23-35/hr

POSITION SUMMARY
Prepares and welds all joints to AWS D1.1 structural steel welding code standard. Operates semiautomatic welding equipment to join metal parts using the gas metal arc welding process. Cleans and repairs welds with grinders, plasma gougers, other equipment, and methods common to the welding trade

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

    • Fabricate components by following requirements; using equipment to clean, prepare, burn, and
      weld pieces, utilizing power and hand tools as necessary
    • Read specifications, blueprints and/or sketches to repair or modify metal parts
    • Verify welding results by inspecting welds; Check angles and gap allowances using micrometers
      and calipers.
    • Maintain accurate and timely documentation by completing necessary records (job order, router
      tracking)
    • Maintain safe work environment by following procedures, complying with legal and company
      regulations
    • Safely operate electric cranes to transport workpieces (pipe) and metal components

    • At least 1 year of Welding and Fabrication experience; Ideal Group will certify in AWS D1.1
      Structural Steel Welding
    • Possess basic knowledge of computer systems and equipment maintenance
    • Must be able to communicate effectively with leadership and teammates
    • Must have the ability to read/write and understand both verbal and written work instructions in
      English, work orders and customer specifications
    • Basic math and measurement skills required (addition, subtraction, decimal and fraction
      conversions); able to accurately read a tape measure
    • Must be at least 18 years of age
    • Must have reliable transportation
    • Must have authorization to work in the United States
    • Must have the ability to read/write and understand both verbal and written work instructions,
      work orders and customer specifications
    • Basic math and measurement skills required (addition, subtraction, decimal and fraction
      conversions); able to accurately read a tape measure

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

    • Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds as needed
    • Able to stand (85%); walk (10%); stoop, kneel, bend or crouch (5%), as required
    • Frequent twisting, horizontal reaching, upper extremity push/pull, bending
    • Able to wear required PPE; ear plugs, safety glasses, steel-toed boots and welding gear
    • Most of the year temperatures inside the plant will match or exceed the outdoor conditions as
      bay doors remain open
    • Weld smoke and metal-cutting machine filtration systems minimize smoke but do not eliminate
      it. Air quality is below OSHA PEL (Permissible Exposure Limits) guidelines; therefore, Respirator
      use not required by standard, Voluntary Use only- must have medical evaluation prior.

CORPORATE OFFICE POSITIONS

JUNIOR DESIGN ENGINEER

Full-Time Position – East Rochester, NY

Salary Range: $60-75k

POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician will utilize their working knowledge of machine maintenance to facilitate repairs, install equipment, and maintain machinery. They will accomplish this by being able to work on CNC equipment, robots, and plant facilities with the end goal and commitment to keeping the machines functioning for production.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Perform preliminary pile designs, takeoffs, and quotations:

    • Review and understand the project plans, specification, and geotechnical report.
    • Coordinate project pile/foundation designs.
    • Provide design and/or material recommendations including Value Engineering (VE) pile design alternates.
    • Collaborate with the Team to understand client and project needs to offer most economical design.
    • Coordinate and participate in conference calls between the project teams.
    • Prepare the preliminary design and coordinate material estimates with the team for package distribution to the customer

Manage execution of signed & sealed design submittals:

    • Verify all project information (plans, specification, and geotechnical report) is available and adequate for the design process.
    • Coordinate submittal completion with engineering firm within project schedule.
    • Review and coordinate any revisions that may be requested.
    • Address design RFI’s
    • Provide supporting documentation as required.

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering required
    • Geotechnical and structural engineering experience preferred
    • Ability to work (independently and in a team setting) under pressure with challenging deadlines.
    • Advanced computer program skills specifically with various CAD programs (including Inventor), Salesforce.com, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SmartSheet
    • Previous experience in the deep foundation/construction industry a plus

    • Ability to sit for several hours at a time.
